It is said that the county of Sibiu has everything a tourist destination might require.

It is located at the bottom of the Carpathians with a wonderful view and landscape, it has traditional villages that preserved very well their customs during the centuries, Saxon villages and medieval fortresses, the salt lakes from Ocna Sibiului, nature wonders and a great cuisine.

Marginimea Sibiului: it represents an area of about 18 traditional Romanian villages located on the border of the Southern Transylvania in the heart of the mountains. For centuries, the locals used to live here and breed animals (especially sheep and cattle), process wood and handcraft.

We suggest you a tour in this area and visit some traditional households in Gura Raului, Rasinari or visit the unique glass icon museum in Sibiel. You can taste some traditional plates, homemade, you can listen to traditional folk music, learn to dance or have a great ride on a carriage or sledge pulled by horses.

A tour in Marginime includes a visit of a village, the visit of a traditional workshop, a special lunch or dinner with homemade specialties and a special music program. At your request we can organize a tour on a carriage. We shall meet locals and customs, learn legends and stories about the transhumance phenomenon and even visit a sheepfold in the mountains and see how cheese, butter or cream are made.
